WHAT IS GET CUBED?

Get CUBED is information communication technology. It is a web application, mobile app and ecosystem designed to help people, small businesses and large enterprises by taking the form of a playful, inviting and equally useful three-dimensional blank canvas, accessible by virtually any device with an internet connection and a web browser.

Capitalizing on the simple, intuitive and inviting nature of Get CUBED, the platform attracts users by catering to our innate desire to express ourselves (using images, audio, video and text), explore the world around us, interact with others and learn about virtually anything. Get CUBED does this by reinventing the digital space with a mobile-first mindset – a rare perspective in the software available to consumers today.

Get CUBED benefits small businesses through its ease of use, affordability, powerful tools and attractive design, empowering a small business owner with little-to-no technical skills to create, advertise and share a universally accessible and mobile-optimized website with his or her current and future clients.

The platform is also designed to help national brands and enterprises get noticed and connect with their brand advocates and customers in ways never previously available.

BUSINESS MODEL

Get CUBED was designed with four primary revenue models:

  1. The Enterprise Model
  2. The Small Business Model
  3. The Featured Content Model (“Unlock Cube”)
  4. “Spin-to-Win”

The Enterprise Model consists of three products that can either be combined or used individually, including the Separate Entry, Relationship Extension and Locker.

  1. The Separate Entry is the most expensive enterprise product and will only appeal to a limited number of enterprises and national brands. This product requires a large upfront fee & annual agreement, and it allows a brand to offer a re-skinned version of Get CUBED, even though almost all of the content and the entire ecosystem are identical to the general Get CUBED app.
  2. The Relationship Extension product requires an agreement and a per-cube fee in-lieu of an upfront fee, and is designed to empower organizations like call centers to create ongoing cross-promotional communications with consumers.
  3. The Locker product requires an upfront fee & per-user fee, and is designed to enable large businesses, brands and enterprises to provide exclusive access to content (including offers and premium information, for example).

The Small Business Model is the simplest model. Any personal user or small business can sign up for an unlimited number of business cubes for $5.95/month. This “plan” will be sold via outbound call centers, and will be advertised inside the personal cube environment, and we expect this plan to be one of the most lucrative.

The Featured Content Model (or “Unlock Cube” model) allows businesses, brands and enterprises to pay a premium to have their cube featured as the Unlock Cube, which is seen every time a user opens the app. The Unlock Cube also has prominent placement in the “Trending Cube” section of the app, which will appeal to a large number of entities.

Finally, the Spin-to-Win model is generates revenue on a commission basis and allows businesses to place offers inside Get CUBED as a fun and productive time-filler. We currently have 140 offers onboard and are expecting to have over 1K offers before the end of the year.

HISTORY

Three years ago we set out to build a blank canvas that would take the form of a 3D cube, which was initially a web app, that became a mobile app, and eventually evolved into an ecosystem. What we didn’t realize at the time is, we inadvertently set-out to build a universally accessible operating system (OS), and that’s a truly a daunting task in this day-and-age when people expect so much contextual awareness from OS’s, and even more from mobile OS’s because of the level of intimacy we have with our mobile devices.

So why did we embark upon this monumental journey? Because almost every bit of content we experienced on mobile devices felt like shrunken-down desktop experiences that followed a nearly identical format. This frustration, coupled with a fragmented mobile experience (that emerged from the rise of multiple mobile OS’s, which, in-turn caused even more frustration as developers had to determine where to spend their time and which platforms to develop-for first), created a disparity in the availability and usability of content & tools for mobile users.

We couldn't just stand idly by as this happened, knowing very well that we were plagued by the same terrible experiences everyone else was having. So, our founders dared to question everything – “What if we could invent a new way for people to create, consume, share and essentially encapsulate content that would literally exploit the mobile device’s small screen and form-factor, instead of trying to accommodate its size?” And with that question neo-cubism was born. Just as the cubist movement of the early 1900’s was a reaction to traditional modes of creative representation, similarly, the neo-cubist movement was a reaction to tradigital (traditional digital) modes of [non]creative representation.

That single “What if” question lead to the development of the first cube prototypes which were all HTML5-based web applications, betting on the hopes and aspirations of HTML5 (just like many other tech giants did at the time) in an effort to democratize opportunity and the availability of information & tools.

Like all the others who bet on what HTML5 could be, we soon realized there were inherent limitations to HTML5 that would not accommodate the evolving needs of our platform to truly democratize opportunity and the availability of information & tools.

At this point, smartphone penetration reached about 55% in the US alone (smartphone penetration achieved even higher rates in other countries), and we realized the only way we could truly provide mass availability of information, tools and their inherent opportunity is by going native, and by that we mean building native mobile apps for each mobile OS.

We built specifications for the native mobile app, saw the first iterations and came up with lists of initial improvements only to realize that our neo-cubist movement was about so much more than content creation, consumption and sharing – it’s a new way to communicate, a new way to learn, a new way to for small, under-empowered businesses to be noticed (affordably and organically), a new way for people to discover content and others around them, ultimately creating clarity out of clutter™. A new way for the young and old, rich and poor, educated and ignorant, enabled and disabled to intuitively find, consume, create, share and ultimately become empowered by the wealth of information that’s instantly available today to those who can access it.

If that wan’t enough reason to continue our pursuit, we also realized our movement enables people to communicate virtually in a way that most accurately reflects our real-world experiences which is a worthy aspiration in-and-of-itself. Instead of looking at a newsfeed or message dialogue, people are seeing what their family, friends, colleagues, leaders and teachers literally place in their hands.

Our platform literally defines the neo-cubist movement in every sense, and is being piloted across a plethora of verticals targeting nothing less than absolute ubiquity in a righteous attempt to democratize opportunity and the availability of information & tools for mobile users. Profound…we know.

We’ve got some crazy ideas up our sleeves and hope you’ll be as excited to learn about them as we are about giving them life for the sake of empowering you to connect with the world around you in a ways you never imagined.

Get ready. Get excited. Get CUBED™.
